Marco Tripoli

Fashion has been part of my world for as long as I can remember.

I grew up surrounded by cloth, colour and craftsmanship. My mother was a professional dressmaker, and as a child I would watch her work or spend hours in my grandfather’s textile shop in Sicily. It was there that my fascination with fabric, texture and the transformative power of clothes began.

My upbringing brought together two distinct Italian influences: my mother’s northern Italian heritage and my father’s Sicilian roots, just outside Palermo. My father was an architect, and his drawings, sense of proportion and attention to detail shaped the way I learned to look at form and design.

Italy gave me instinct; London gave me another perspective. I went on to study at London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins, developing a more individual approach to colour, proportion and style.

Today, Marco Tripoli is an expression of those worlds coming together — Italian heritage, Sicilian character and a London sensibility. Each collection is personal: confident, expressive and designed for people who see fashion not simply as something to wear, but as a way of showing who they are.
